I just purchased a new laptop, and I have been experiencing a lot of problems with it. As a matter of fact, my old laptop (3 years old) functions better than the new one. The new laptop continuously freezes-up and takes forever to boot and shut down (i.e. 5-6 minutes to shut down).

Either way, I have attached a log from the MGTools Scanner and would appreciate it if someone would look at it to see if there are any apparent problems.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forums:wave We really don't know what is the problem. Usually we like to know the specs in your computer. Like what windows you have windows xp, vista, windows 7, etc... Also we like to know memory(ram).

    Have you tried reading this?

http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=106650 - Gives you few things you can help improve your computer and hope to make it run little faster/smother.

A good defrag can do some work on computers as well. Theres many different ones. Usually people like what "they like" some work better for them.
You can few ratings and see that people like Iobit one(so you can try that).
I think there may be an issue if using to many defrags on a computer. I think it can mess things up(Iam not tech) but Id just use one at this time. Maybe someone can post more info here for you.

Also What kind of computer system do you have? Windows xp, vista, 7 what?

Is indeed best to find one defragger that you like and stick with it.
They use different "filing" systems and can confuse another one.

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. Just found Trojan with SAS last night. Might be the problem. Have already defragged the laptop with IObit 360.

    Thanks for the replies.

Well what I was going to do was see if your issue was software/hardware related. Maybe adding RAM(memory). Many people buy the computers from store with little memory on it and with all the upgrades for you computer plus programs it would most likely already be over your memory(ram). Unless you bought more ram and added or you got a computer with a lot of ram in it already. But after we could see what you had and what you had for start up. I would then send you to the malware section"read and run sticky at the top" and follow its instructions and post all logs and wait for help in there.
