Just which one IS the best...????

O.k.... I look for what is considered to be the top rated or best software tool to keep the PC running best. I have tried many different tools for registry repair, optomizing, hard drive diagnostics and repair/optimising, spyware detection/removal... I have tried several "uninstaller-plus" type programs....on and on and get different results from each. I can run one registry tool that claims to be one of the best out there, but when I run another of the same type program I get different results.
For example, why did one program find things wrong that the other program claiming to be the best did not?
Why can I run the program twice in a row and have it find things wrong that it just found and susposedly repaired???
I have used freeware, I have purchased LOTS of them and they all boast about what they can do. I am going bankrupt trying to find the right one!!!! :confused

I value your suggestions on what YOU as experts and MUCH more knowledgable than myself on these programs/applications from "actual experience" in using them.

Please, what is the best overall tool for repairing and maintaining a smooth running PC?

The best "tool" is that thing between the chair and the keyboard. :major

Registry leftovers can best be handled by CCLeaner -- Freeware!

Using various tools to "clean" the registry is a prescription for doom.

For malware: I suggest you work thru the below link:
* How to Protect yourself from malware!

And perhaps you could expound on what your actual problems have been and what you are trying to do.
(And don't forget two things:
1) K.I.S.S.
2) If it ain't broke, don't fix it. )

There is no single "best program". Each program finds stuff the others miss. If I was limited to one program, only, I would stick with Advanced WindowsCare v2 Personal 2.8.6 at http://majorgeeks.com/Advanced_WindowsCare_v2_Personal_d4991.html

NB: Beware, the v3 is a BETA release. I personally use v2, daily, as it is a one-click-to-run program. Always, with using any new Registry program, create a new Restore point before starting and backup all of your essential stuff.
