K7N2 Delta not liking AMD Athlon 3200+

I have an MSI K7N2 Delta LSR that I have been running with an amd athlon 2200+, 2 sticks of corsair 512 3200XMS, ATI 9600 PRO. I recently bought an amd athlon 3200+ and installed it with a gigabyte 3D rocket cooler and artic silver 5. when it boots up with the 3200 I get scrambled words and random data. I tested the processor in 2 other machines and it works fine. my motherboard manual says that it will support this processor but I have had no luck getting it to work. put the 2200 back in and everything running good. does anyone have an idea on how I can get the K7N2 to like my amd 3200 ?

 

It may support it but have you checked to see if it needs a bios update. Which 3200 is it, the 333mhz or the 400 mhz. What are the tenps on the processor. Also is the heatsink on good and did you use the right amount of thermal paste

 

Do you have a jumper on the motherboard that changes the FSB from 100 to 133?

 

I have latest bios version , the 3200 is 400 fsb, the temp of my current processor is 80 degrees Farenhiedt, and yes...I know how to install a heatsink, been doing it for years.

 

there is no jumper for fsb on this board

 

in fact, I have never seen an air cooler this good, my amd 2200+ is running at 28 degrees celcius, at 100% using heat up.

 

Thare is a jumper to force a 100 FSB its near the CPU .. I had a similer problem with my old K7N2 when i got a mobile barton, a bios update cleared it right up.....

 

the only jumper on my board is to clear cmos, and I have the latest version of bios flash.
