Kaspersky firewall

    Hi there,I have just got the latestr Kaspersky,but should I turn off my windows firewall?does Kasperky have one included?

    Did you get Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0?

    If you got the Internet Security Suite, yes it comes with a firewall. It should automatically disable your Windows Firewall but just in case double check, if not disable it.

    If you got Kaspersky Anti-Virus then no it doesn't come with a firewall in which case you will need a third party firewall such as Comodo or ZoneAlarm.

    No,I got the 7.0,so should I just allow the windows firewall or is it better to go for one of thise you suggest....or are they basically the same?

    The Windows Firewall is far from being considered a true firewall so yes definitely get a software firewall. I personally recommend Comodo Firewall. It's very easy to use and configure and it uses very little resources.
