Hi,it appears something else has me here.
There was a article i found before, with a hijack this and a malware bit check.
I think I must go that route, are you at all aware of it? and could you please direct me to it,as it really appears there is something else going on in my computer...please.
    Thank you

My guess would be that there is a process that keeps trying to run and kaspersky keeps blocking it from running while it scans. If the process keeps trying to start it would cause your cpu usage to go up and down. But like I said it is only a guess. If you find anything please post back even if you fix the problem so if somebody else has a similar issue they can use these posts as a starting point for their troubleshooting.

    Good Luck!

I'm using "Kaspersky internet security,2009" and it appears to be draining the CPU,everytime it updates or runs a scan,
I have XP and Explorer 6

Kaspersky is a resource hog! What's up with kaspersky 2009! This is not good!

I just found this article and am pretty sure that Karspersky is the culprit!
I'm going to uninstall and install the free AVG :-D

Glad everything is working better and faster. AVG is great anti virus software for free! I use it and have never had a problem with it.
