Kazaa & Ad-Aware 6

Hey there, just a small problem... I use a freinds computer, and he's concerned about the spyware installed with kazaa... he wants to eliminate as much as it but have kazaa still working. i ran an ad-aware scan and i was unsure of what i could remove and what i could keep in....

Any ideas?

i'm not going to start a thread on the "legality" of kazaa, i just use his computer as it's the only one within 5 miles of me that i can use that has internet access. i personally cannot stand kazaa, and i shut it down every time i go on (much to his annoyance).

I was just more curious about how to go about removing any other spyware on his pc without taking kazaa off, as he'd do nothing but bitch and moan at me...

I'm aware that if ad aware finds anything it's bad.. that's why i run and use it.

I'll advise him to look into kazaa lite.. whatever that is... and hopefully sort it out, as when i last ran maintainance on it, the browser'd been hijacked, the regestry had been locked off, and all sorts of crap was on there.. but i realised that kazaa was the cause.

I was asking originally if anyone happened to know what regkeys that i had to leave alone to keep it running, not get blasted for what he wants to put on...

thats the thing... i don't know which are kazaa related. I know Gator's one of them.. but the others i don't know about. I'll find out
