Can anyone tell me if this program is safe? I mean I know that its easy to pick up viruses/spyware/adware from Kazza, but if you have antivirus protection on your PC and are scanning with say AdAware and Spybot regularly, can Kazza be used safely? Or should it be avoided at all costs???

i don't endorse any P2P program and i think for good reason. regardless of good AV protection it is still too easy to get ahold of something nasty. personally i wouldn't even bother with a P2P. but if you must, Kazaa is one that i would stay away from. Bittorent or e-mule are the "safer" ones. but any P2P is bad ju-ju

Most people on this forum don't seem to want to touch Kazaa at all:

I think the bigger problem with Kazaa is not just the stuff that can get on your machine when you are running it, but the stuff that is installed onto your machine as part of Kazaa...

General concensus seems to be to leave Kazaa alone...

i used kazaa lite but i dont anymore simply for the reason i dont have the installer. i currently use Shareaza (www.shareaza.com) as P2P. Mind you there are ALWAYS risks using P2P programs.. It i easy to avoid viruses and spyware if one knows what to look for.
