Keep getting error code 1 with chrome (port)

Hi everyone , for some reason I keep getting error code (one) with chrome portable , I used to not get it and Chrome help doesn't help me much either .

Any idea how to figure this out?

seems this error has to do with contacting the update server. My guess is the portable version doesn't work that way. I can't seem to find if you can disable auto updating, but you should keep it up to date anyway. The newest portable version is 33.0.1750.154 which matches up with my non portable version. You might just have to keep it manually updated whenever you get that message.
