keep getting Subscribed to threads

how do i stop this

 

not sure if you can, if you reply to a post you are automatically subscribed to that thread. Might be a setting somewhere to stop this but I can't find it

 

Go to User CP on the top of the page.

Select "Edit Options" in the left panel.

Second box, about messaging & notifications, change Default Thread Subscription Mode to "Do Not Subscribe".

Each time you post later on, you have the option of selecting if you want to subscribe to that particular thread. That option is below the submit reply button.
