Keep your fingers crossed

OK, so last Friday I had an interview with a follow up tomorrow where I go out on the route and make sure it is something I can do.... as long as that goes OK, I will have a job again... and the pay isn't too shabby either. WOrking 3 days a week getting in 40 hours... I like, gives me 4 days to recover..LOL

Just asking for all the help I can get in keeping the fingers crossed... I'm so tired of not working that it is ridiculous. The first few weeks were great, then it got boring. I've even run out of fun places to surf to now... that's when you know you need a job

Funny thing was this is the first time I have actually had an interview in soemthing like 5 or 6 years..... I had forgotten how tough an interview can be... LOL

The ride out went well.... what I didn't know until that afternoon, was that I have 3 more interviews to get through..... can I shoot myself now??

On top of which I have to do a drug test... which would ahve been fine if someone hadn't brought special brownies to a get together last week... honestly, I didn't know. I have been behaving lately because I know so many places do that now. *sigh* gotta go figure this one out. Even my doc said that I don't have much of a chance on flushing it by then.. we'll see though.

I understand what you were saying about running out of places to surf, i have been at home now for 3 years recovering from an accident and do not know if i will ever work again (i can only hope) but i am 61 this year so the chances are slim.

It pisses me off that is even considered a drug. It is totally acceptable to get stinken drunk and show up for work. I am a big advocate in legalizing marijuana and I don't even use it.
I could go into a whole page rant here but I won't :wave

Back in the day, I could get away with it by telling them I take large amounts of Ibuprofen and Naproxen Sodium (advil and Naprosen), but they have changed the test to eliminate that 'false positive'. Granted, I do take large quantities of both ona semi regular basis for my knees, but can't get away eith that any more.

Thanks for the well wishes, and hey Bill... you ever think of doing graphic design work?? You can do that right from home and 'telecommute' to your customers.... all you need is Photoshop or some other high end graphics proggie and you're good to go. I am going to be going out Monday and posting up a crapload of fliers to try picking up some business like that. I figure that local bands and such would likely not mind paying someone to do that.... and I just take it to Staples or Office Max or somewhere to get it printed out.

Just a thought for ya... granted, if you already have something to occupy you, is all good, but that way you can have something goal oriented to work on... makes life a little more bearable. I just did a new letterhead for a friend who is a lawyer and a logo for another friend who does makeup/hair for photo/video shoots. those were freebies as I was working out some ideas on stuff in PS, but still, it can get my name out there.

Thanks for the idea Jim but my computer skills do not reach those levels, i am just a dunce when it comes to learning new skills partly because of the strong meds i have had for the last 3 years they have destroyed my short term memory, i some times sit down at the PC and then think what am i doing here.

I am buying a new rig tomorrow (Monday) that will give me some new things to do the only problem is it has Vista so a complete new learning curve.

I know what you mean though, I have a good friend in a similar situation. We all laugh about it with her because she prefers that to letting it bother her. That can be a really tough situation, I'll keep the good thoughts going out for ya though!!
