This will be real quick. When I log off of Major Geeks support forum I get the message all cookies cleared. Is there a way to keep the cookies from this site? reason it makes it easier for me to remember where I left off with read and unread messages.

Why log off? Don't and perhaps the cookies will be saved. What browser are you using?

I'm using firefox, I couldn't find any settings in firefox that prevents this. I've never tried in IE but I assume the same thing would happen since the message comes from the logoff page of MG

when i shut my browser down FF 3.0.2 I do a "save and quit" and it will store your settings next time you fire the browser up

I think the simplest solution is to not log out. You might be able to protect a cookie from MG using an AddOn or something but clicking the remember me box is probably easiest. I don't see a down side of staying logged in to MG.

    Grab the addon called CookieCuller
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/82
I use it on all my computers. You look over the cookies that you want to "protect". All the others are deleted when FF closes.
If you change your min and no longer want to protect a cookie, you can change it to unprotected.
I also like to go in from time to time in a browsing session an remove some of the unprotected cookies (like all the ones I get from google).

I tried this once and next thing I knew all my "protected" cookies were gone. Am I missing something? I was just reading this morning because of this thread. If you get cookieculler and protect some cookies does it only protect them from cookieculler? In other words if you use FF options delete>private data (including cookies) are the cookies you protected with Cookieculler safe or are they deleted by FF?
