Does anyone else get frustrated with the amount of dust that accumulates?

    No not really.

Ive learned how to keep my PC's clean, or cleaner.
I use filters, tape, foam, whatever.
All incomming air on my stuff is filtered, I use Nylons (Hosiery) & HVAC type material (not fiberglass) requires a bit of customizing.
Any holes, gapes, voides I use tape & foam to fill or block.

Some cases come with fan filters, some retailers sell fan filters, Ive found I can make better one's than i can buy.

    So far havent had too.
I do have to clean them, but vacume or compressed air works great.
If one uses vacume, Use caution due to static elec. I never use a vacume on the inside of a case.
I know when to clean them cause I can see dust build up, or I'll see rise in temp's

I used to use my g'friend's nylons as well, but she kept complaining; also there was allways that damn business of taking them off and sliding them back on again.
Solution: Now I just use her long bristled makeup brush instead. It easilly gets into everything and won't cause static.
There are no intended puns in this message...

Creating positive pressure within the case is another way to keep the dust out. Positive pressure means: total CFM intake > total CFM exhaust . To do this, all (well, as much as possible) intake and exhaust air must be controlled by fans - seal off any major areas of extraneous ventilation holes.

First of all, you should have proper airflow direction... 1-2 fans in front as intake, 1-2 fans in back as exhaust and one in top doesn't hurt.

Second of all use filters! Usually you cant take 2 play toilet paper, turn it into 1 ply by ripping the pressed peices apart, and then using it as a filter. OR if you or one of your friends has an airconditioner filter, those work good too.... just cut to size.

However if you dont want to do any of this.... Keep the room the PC is kept in clean (vacuuming, etc), Spray the insides of your PC with some canned air every month or so...

May I suugest that if your tower is on the floor be carful when vacumning, especially if the vacumn exhaust is directed towards the tower. My tower is at desk level and I use a Q-tip to keep lint free from the front intake and havn't cleaned it since it was built about ten months ago. Temps have stayed the same and can't notice and dust buildup through side window.. :p

Actually just locating your tower above floor level (the more the better) will help a lot with keeping it clean.
