i did a test on my firewall using hackerwatch.org.
it say my netbios is not secure please can someone tell me if it is ok if not how do you sort it out. i have had a look at my configurations but can't see any opions.

running xp pro.

Its wise as Xflat has posted to read up about a subject as you may be blocking things you actually need.... always make a not of what you have adjusted just in case and always do it in small stages as its easier to troubleshoot a mistake.

having said that I diables Netbios on my pc using the following easy nethod........

Open Network Connections and right click on your connection > properties > click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) > Properties > then click Advanced in bottom right corner

Choose WINS from the top menus and at bottom is choice to disable Netbios over TCP/IP click ok and try your test again.

I have to say my specs as the internet is concerned are.....

Netgear Router/ADSL modem
Zone Alarm Pro ( software firewall .... no hits BTW as the router takes care of them, I use it to monitor outgoing apps )
IE6 ( upto date with patches )
