Kernal Fault Check

    I have this running with my start up process. %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k Can anyone tell me if i can disable this or delete it from the start up process? Sorry if i didnt post this in the correct spot :confused

    Hi and welcome to Majorgeeks. You're in the right forum. :cool Are you running XP or Vista? %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k is a legit file so you should not delete it. However it puzzeles me what it's doing there...

    Ya im runnin xp pro and yes it did recover from a serious error. But starts up everytime i start my pc. Why is that? Telling Microsoft over and over my error situation, lol not like they can help with it anyways. And ty for the welcome. My wife sent me here, lol

    Have this entry also but have disabled it from start up and has created no subsequent issues.

    start>run>msconfig>startup (tab) and unckeck it
