Kernel32.DLL Error

System Summary:
Novell Server, Windows 98 work stations, Windows XP work stations

Problem:
Installed update to accounting system. The work stations using Windows 98 allow users to log into accounting software but the work stations using Windows XP home edition would not allow me to log into system (Kernel32.DLL error). I can access parts of accounting software through hard drive files.

Solutions attempted:
1.Updated work stations to XP Professional and same error occurs.
2.Deleted AVG anti virus, adaware and spybot-still cannot log in
3.tried to delete cw shredder and emprunner but could not find under add/remove so not sure how to delete. Any suggestions on deleting cw shredder and emprunner?

Any ideas are appreciated!

 

I have been using CWShredder v2.15, and it is a standalone executable.

There are only 3 registry entries I can find pertaining to CWShredder. They are:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUI\cache
HKLM\Software\InterMute\CWShredder\ ---> only 1 entry in this key
HKUsers\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUI\cache

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it should be as easy to remove as removing these entries and deleting the exe

When I start my pc in this error is displayed:

MFC42.DLL file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL
Delay Load Failure Hook.

I have ran Scandisk,Spybot,Adaware and Avg anitvirus and this message still appears.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
