Key boaed and Mouse adapter..

    Hi...
    My mouse ahd keyboard are both usb...
    I waht to use ps2 power... so i bought 2 adapters....
    I can get them to work....
    My question is.... can i use the adapter to do this....

    Retail Plus .
    Keyboard/mouse adapter..
    usb(A) female to ps/2 male..

    Make sure the mouse and keyboard with the above connectors are attached to the PC before you start the computer. You can't just change them on a running machine or they won't be recognized.

    seems like there's no power.. when i plug the adapters into the ps2
    any help there please...

    Did you do as was said earlier and switch off the pc then connect the adapter to your mouse (the green one)plug it into the PC and then switch on.
    Also be careful when you put it in the PC,there are 2 small indentations on the round metal part and these match 2 on the PC input.

    The purple one is for the keyboard.

    If you still have a problem this could be the adapter because the are very easy to break, if it is bent or twisted you could get the symptoms you describe.

    Yes ...I followed the instructions i recieved eariler.....
    I tried several sifferent mouse adapters....Still wont work...
    Would something be turned off in the BIOAS?
    I didnt try the keyboard....I dont have the adapter yet....

    Im useing a Logitech G5 Usb mouse..

    Because of the weight of the green adapter, sometime my mouse loosens from the slot. I've also discovered that not all green adapters go into the computer very well. On one computer I owned, the PS/2 slot was recessed so my husband had to take his dremel moto tool and file away some of the metal on the case so the green adapter would go into the port snuggly.
    Take a look to be sure the adapter is fitting very tight. If it is not, you will have an unresponsive mouse.

    I had alook at the back of my computer...
    The holes for the mouse and keyboard...ps2..dont line up at all...
    Ill have to get someone to take a look at it for me...
