key popped off Dell laptop - I want to put it back!

OK, don't ask how, but I've managed to end up with my control button key popped off the keyboard of my Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop. Any idea how to put the little bugger back on it's tv-tray spring without use of tiny little fingers?confused I see where it should fit, but I don't want to crush my keyboard doing it the hard way if there's something more gentle than my fist.

 

I'm used to laptops where you have to take them apart to mess with keys like this... is that the case here, maybe?

 

if the keyboard comes off, I don't think I want to do that... where the key goes, it has a white plastic spring support that looks like the x-legs under TV trays. The key is flat with a place toward the bottom half where the white part connects/snaps in to 2 notches. I'm just not sure how to hold the spring up and snap it into the notches at the same time without using little tiny implements of destruction. Ideas?
