Key Problem

    I have this Pc I bought used (so I have no os disk) with Windows XP Home Edition it seems as somethng has happened and it runs at a much slower speed than it use to. Recently I had to download a file to restore some registry keys to get the dvd rom back operational. What if anything can I do to pick up the speed it has lost? If someone out there has some suggestions I will adhere to them.

    As far as I know no. I am not that computer savy but I am learning more everyday.
