    Hi
Some keys on my laptop keyboard do not work and my mouse lags when using chrome. This issue seemed to coincide after uninstalling a software program by the name of nero 9. Through previous advice i uninstalled the driver but this did not solve the issue.

Is there any hope of solving this?

    Windows 7 operating system.

    Thanks

    Hi

First things I would do is to see if any reminents of Nero9 is left as you mention issue only happened after uninstall of Nero9 (CD/DVD burning software I take it), is to run https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/ccleaner_slim.html CCleaner and the cleaner and then registry cleaner, run all settings at defualt and run a few times, then reboot, see if you have a change.

How does IE work with the mouse, does it lag?
    What laptop make and model?
    Windows 7 fully upto date?

    Hi

Ccleaner found one remnant of nero 9, a smart start file of some description. Apologies but just to be on the safe side - I am puzzled at running all settings at default, could you clarify this please? There was no change however.

I can't find IE to test this! I think I removed it a while back but the mouse would lag when running programs too.

Laptop is a Toshiba Satelite Pro A120.

    Updates are regularly installed automatically.

    Thanks

    You can't remove IE.
Do you have the Windows 7 disk?

No, I don't have the disk I'm afraid.

You'll have to download the Windows 7 ISO (the exact version you have) and burn it to a DVD.
Then you can repair Windows 7.

It seems you damaged Windows when you tried to remove IE. Also, Nero has nothing to do with the operation of the keyboard and mouse.

While searching, I found a review from 2006. So it appears this might be a 12 year old laptop. It came with Windows XP.

How was Windows 7 installed on the computer if you have no DVD for Windows 7?
