I'm on yet another new keyboard, and the same keys are failing. laptop info in signature.

This is my 2nd new kb in 7 months, and the original lasted since 2012 when i bought the laptop:(

can someone tell me a way to find out if something else is failing? i cant buy another kb when 3 have failed to work(1 didnt work so exchanged for the 1 that lasted 7 months and now 1 i spent more o is failing, same keys too)

I'm just perplexed at what to do, any help appreciated.

    Denise,

It's possible the ribbon cable has broken or intermittent leads (wires). There could also be bent contacts where the keyboard plugs into the laptop. Does it detach from both the laptop AND the keyboard or is it "hard wired" to the keyboard?

hi MD voice-to-text here thank you for your reply and I've decided after 3 keyboards failing and these are the detachable type with the ribbon it might be something else like maybe my motherboard or something I'm not sure but I'm going to just get a Walmart cheap o Depot keyboard USB keyboard sorry about the misspellings but it's because I miss speaking I just wanted to thank you though for your answer and maybe see you later thanks again
