Keyboard problem

    ill give it a try. i have a computer the keyboard quit but not rally it works on another computer and the keyboard from the other computer does not work on the computer whos keyvboard quit but didnt really. all the bus ports function so thats not the problem i have also connected it with a regular keyboard cable, it still doesnt wor. it shows no drivers so i install the drivers and they still dont show. now her it is there is no keyboards in device manager, so how did that disappear and how to I get it back.

    Are you rebooting after you plug in the keyboard? The Pc has to be off when the keyboard is being connected and then booted up.

    Brand and model of computer? Is the keyboard PS/2 or USB.

    If you hooked and unhooked a PS/2 keyboard while the computer was running, you may have damaged the port.

    How many PS/2 ports, if any on the computer?
