keyboard problems

Last night while typing i realized some of my keys were malfunctioning, mainly my number keys. I have a sony vaio notebook, model pcgk35. I went through all the usual steps - making sure num lock was off, restarting, uninstalling & reinstalling drivers - but this morning, i am still having the same problems. (having my first 2 rows of keys outputting double characters i.e. = when i hit 1 OR 2 I GET "21")

I just purchased this laptop in april so its still under warrenty. Am i guonna have tuo send it to Sony for repair or is there something I can do?
