I'm doing a fresh install of XP. Booting from CD. When I get to the "Welcome to Setup" screen, I need to press enter "To set up Windows XP now," the keyboard doesn't work at that point. It is a USB keyboard (there is no serial). How do I get past this point to install?

(NOTE: The keyboard works fine with F12 and selecting boot from CD at the beginning)

Just a thought. Try another keyboard, maybe in another USB port, and reboot. Bazza

    Hi adrenal
Your BIOS understands USB - F-keys at least. I've just done a successful install with a Logitech USB keyboard and WinXP OEM SP2. When I need to hit <enter> I always use the <enter> key next to the number pad. Maybe that will work for your keyboard.
