    Hi,

I've been wanting for a long time to get a keyboard with Cherry mechanical switches (leaning towards Red).

However, it seems to me that all products I can find on Newegg (other than actual Cherry keyboards that are intended for cash register/point of sale usage) have a common problem:

They all use a USB interface and have an unresolved issue with firmware-level ghosting of keypresses. What happens is that a key will randomly get stuck at the software level and starts reporting infinite keypresses of that key -- the only thing that stops the issue is to figure out which key is stuck and then press it again.

This issue is reported in the Newegg feedback for products by Corsair and Rosewill, which seem to be the biggest names that make gaming keyboards with Cherry switches. (Side note: this issue also occurs with my current keyboard, a cheap Thermaltake eSports model).

The only keyboards I can find that actually have a PS/2 interface are the above-mentioned Cherry keyboards sold for POS purposes.

Any tips on finding a keyboard with Cherry switches that DOES NOT suffer from this key ghosting issue?

As usual, thanks in advance for the stellar MG feedback.

Any chance a USB to PS2 adapter could be a fix?

I strongly doubt it; the problem is described as a "firmware-level bug". I suppose I'll give it a try, though.
