I do need to mention, though, since you did not say why you were asking, that Major Geeks will not aid people in doing such things and it is, in fact, against the rules of the forum.

 

The removal procedures are written so a novice may follow them. They do take a bit of time, but everything is spelled out. If you follow them in order and do exactly as it says starting from the beginning, you will have no problems at all.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to track who installed the malware.

Once you have completed the guide, start a New Thread in the Malware Removal Forum. In that thread, you will post the logs that are asked for. If your fiance decides to run the procedure, a separate thread will need to be started for the other computer. We have experts in the Malware forum. One of them will aid you once the logs are posted.

 

After rereading, I mistook your question. You were asking about the skill as far as installing the keylogger?

They can come through mail attachments, infected websites, file sharing websites, etc.
