Keylogging Software Needed

Every now and then, the result of a mis-keying produces transparency of a window in Win7. It happens to Skype most often, but has happened to Windows Live Mail and even to a DOS program - WordPerfect. I've been unable to deduce which key combination is the culprit, but figure that it might be a toggle, so I might be able to restore normal opacity by repeating or manipulating that key combination. It occurred to me that a keylogger might give me a clue - if I looked at its log as soon as transparency occurs, then the most recent recorded keystrokes would include the 'culprit' key combination. So I need software that will ONLY record all keystrokes - or all keystrokes in a selected program, say Skype; a keylogger whose logs can be easily accessed and deleted daily or automatically at shutdown of the PC; and that is free. There is NO requirement AT ALL for stealth. I can do the hard yakka of trying the available programs, but thought I would first seek advice. Hope I have made my needs clear.

 

Is it alt-tab?

It might not be a key press but a mouse location. If your mouse pointer is moved to the bottom right then the desktop is made visible temporarily hiding your programs.

 

ALT TAB does NOT trigger transparency of program windows. The effect occurs when I am keying in text, NOT when I move the mouse. My programs do not get HIDDEN, but become [irritatingly] transparent.

 

You could adjust the transparency settings to effectively kill it. Have a read HERE. Or simply disable aero by using a basic desktop theme.

 

Even before I read your disclaimer, I started doing the hard yakka I referred to, and the last program I tried was the most apt. It is free, simple and does EXACTLY what I want without fuss. It is called Revealer Key Logger Free. I'm just hoping that it will work for its intended (stated by me) purpose. I can report back if you want, but feel that you might not let me.
