Sorry I'm never here to explain my homicidal/suicidal outburts, I work 11-8 now doing tech support and i think it zapped my will to live. I'll post more when I actually have energy to live.

I'll say something regarding tech support:
Well, some of you may know that I got my ``big break'' and am now in tech support.
(On a very low level, I must add... I'm no `big fancy tech guy' , by any means).

Now, some guy calls in, we reconfigure his bridged modem, we hardcode his IP addys, then, then, I think,... hey... It good now, life is grand...
"lets reboot that machine now, mister, and take it up for a test drive!"

I hear...
<mumble,... mumble...>

I say... "Hello..."
I hear...
"This is a MacOS-X. It is a unix-like environment. It need not be rebooted."
I say...
"Well, then, how bout just to satisfy me? Just to make sure that we do this just right... it'll only take a few minutes.."

I hear
< mumble.... mumble...>

I say...
"Hello?"
again...
"This is a linux- like environment... we don't need to reboot it."

Well, we just changed your routeing table and other config files in that box.
I wondered for a minute if he was sending hang-up signals to all the processes that read those files, to reinitialize.. or whatever..

oh, it's all special kinds of fun. I think the largest majority of the idiots I deal with dailiy are my co-workers. Most of them seem either unaware or unmotivated to do their jobs correctly or have any desire to improve.
