killBox.exe problems

I am having problems understanding how to use this. I read that you can make a notepad and copy several file locations at once then using the file..past from clipbord. except it's not working. Anyone know how to get this feature to work I am trying to kill several .exe files at once with it.

First, why are you using Killbox? Do you have a malware infection your trying to rid your computer of? Are you sure the files you are deleting are bad?

 

I am trying to get rid of smitfraud and from what I have read you have to use this to kill like 10 files they mention. Thay say to copy and past these into a notepad file then go to killbox and do the past from clipboard except I having a hard time doing what they are saying. its not pasting the files like they said.

Before you start using Killbox lets start with general cleanup procedures. Killbox should be treated very carefully as removing the wrong file could cause your system to crash. This hijacker is easy to remove but will take some time.

Copy the contents of the Quote Box below to Notepad. Then click File and then Save As. Change the Save as Type to All Files. Name the file fixsmit.reg and then click save. (make sure you save it somewhere you can find it. Saving it to your Desktop may make that easy.)

Double-click on the fixsmit.reg file on your desktop (or locate it with Windows Explorer and double click on it if not saved to the Desktop) and when it prompts to merge, click YES!


After you complete the above, please follow standard cleanup procedures as given below:

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


After doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps below:

I would still like to know how to do the copy and paste thing in KillBox for later reference.

Cant update for a while I have to go to work.

Your HJT log is clean, are you having any further malware problems?

Using Killbox is easy, just make a list of the files to be removed. Use the keys CONTROL + C to copy the location and the keys CONTROL + V to paste the location into Killbox. By pasting into Killbox I mean the white box under "Full Path of File to Delete".
