Killing off Vista - need XP drivers for HP A1730n

Fellas, HP doesn't provide XP drivers for my friend's A1730n. I haven't made a hardware list yet, but it's original - no new hardware added. It has 4 Gigs of RAM and is still slow, even after increasing virtual memory and cutting graphics to a minimum. Please help me find someone who knows where the basic drivers are. Thanks!

 

Lots of folks have had a very difficult time reverting HP's back to XP.... I have had little success with helping to get the audio drivers installled.
Basically, once you have a list of hardware, just go to the hardware manufacturer's site and look for an XP driver for it.
You have Realtek HD on that PC, which can be a bear to get to install without reverting.
Once you have installed your chipset driver and before installing any other drivers, install this:

Then install this audio driver:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Realtek_High_Definition_Audio_for_2KXP03_d4902.html

Make sure that you can find all your XP drivers, then download them and save to a disc for easier installing before reverting.
