Killing off Vista Part 3 - XP drivers for Gateway T1625 laptop needed

Guys, I've exhausted all my possibilities to find someone who has the drivers for XP to roll back the T1625. I don't want to pay for a month at RapidShare or Megaupload unless that's the only alternative - anyone know where I can get the drivers? Thanks in advance for all your help, both in the past and now.

 

Have you tried the drivers available at the Gateway web site? Yeah, I know they all say "Vista", but I downloaded a couple of 'em, extracted 'em with TUGzip, and looked through the setup files.... and they are compatible with XP. You may not be able to run the setup.exe installers, but you should have no problem installing the drivers through the Device Manager using the Hardware Wizard and pointing it to the extracted folders. If you need more help, just post and I'll do my best. :-D

 

I tried this, with no luck. I downloaded all the drivers from the gateway site for my T1625 computer. Then I extracted them and tried to add new hardware and point to the correct folders where I downloaded them. XP is telling me that they are not the right drivers.

For the record, I have XP w/ SP3 installed. My audio works, but my network connections (wireless or LAN) do not. Any suggestions?

tollhaus: it's best if you start a new thread for things like this... so.... use the following info to attach an Everest report to your next post, which should be a new thread with a title like "Gateway T1625 laptop - need XP drivers" and maybe include a link to this thread as a reference.... here's the Everest info:
