kinda perpetual motion electric bicycle

i was watching tv, i dont know what show anymore, and i saw a guy who had made his own electric bicycle. he put permanent magnets along the rim of the rear wheel and as it spun he must of had a copper coil somewhere on it producing electricity which was stored in a battery which went to power the bicycle. so he would only need to petal a little. anyway, does anyone know where i can find ANY kind of do it yourself site for how to make something like this? or maybe just a site that could show me how to make all the concepts work and i could throw it together myself? i dont want some sort of kit, id much rather take pride in it and do it on my own. ive been search on google for like an hour now with no luck. id greatly appreciate some help.

 

some model shop they will point you ;I had an old bike but that was engine 49cc very old pushbyke with engine on back wheel strange as this was 33years ago!!!
I bet its worth plenty now!!!electrical component shops usually have things to do with building things of the type your on about robot parts coils n all go n look you may be suprised!
id make my own bodged together!lol gl

I have got an electric bike that my wife bought for me just after my last operation and i did get to ride it for a while they are really great

what i want next is an electric wheelchair

the motor is in the hub on the back wheel and the batteries are in the thick part of the frame.
