kinda scary but very interesting.

I posted a video I found on this new technology called augmented reality a while back and now I just ran across some more info on it. This is some really cool stuff I can't imagine what video games are gonna look like when this comes out. Actually, there has been a major push in the last couple years in the Emergency sector. The idea is that for Fire, Police and EMS to have a graphic overlay that would show driving directions, show any hold ups, traffic jams etc and display other pertinent info for the firefighters, EMT's and police.

Now that would be very helpful and I think it would end up even saving lives. One thing that would be cool is if they used it in the military, they could make the enemy believe and actually see for that matter, a whole group of soldiers coming from one direction. While the enemy soldiers are firing on the holographic images, then the real troops come in. There are countless things you could use this technology for pretty amazing stuff. Would be cool if they would make it available to the general public although I'm sure it would be abused.

 

lol would be fun to make a holographic image of yourself and mess w/ people.

 

I saw this last year I think it was, and it's indeed awesome.

 

i bet the military are sniffing around this technology for a whole host of reasons. Ahh all those years playing BF may not have been in vain.
