Knoppix download

Can someone help me understand the download options for knoppix? All I find is what looks like directory pages. See image.

 

Looks like I need to install a Torrent application. I just tried to set up uTorrent. That's a pain in the arse. Upload speeds, port forwarding, establishing a static IP...what the heck is the deal? Are there any more simple options for a novice?

 

You could try Azureus though uTorrent works great for me as is, no configuration needed.

 

Ok, so now I have a copy of knoppix burned on a CD. I have 3 computers here at the house that I have tried to boot up from the disk. None of the PCs would boot from the CD, they booted Windows instead. Yes, I changed the boot sequence to the proper device. I have heard of making a CD 'bootable' when burning it. Is this something I should have been aware of when I burned it? I burned knoppix to the CD the same way I would have burned files for archiving or backup.

 

What did you use to burn the iso to the cd (dvd)?

 

I used the utilities included in Windows XP Home.

 

Ahh, that is the reason, you need to download a program that can burn .iso's properly.

Use ImgBurn (I use it all the time, works in Vista). [freeware]

Out of curiosity, what makes it different that Windows can not properly burn it?
I have both Nero and Sonic available on 2 different computers here. Will either of these applications do it properly?

 

The built in windows burner, will burn the file, to the cd. Not extract and burn the file.
