Know of any good free FPS games out there?

Does anyone out there know of any good free first person shooter games,besides Americas Army?

go for the quake 3 demo, you can still fight all the characters, only downside is you can't go into all of the online servers.

oh yah it may not be quite fps, but it's a tps called gunz probbly heard of it if not try it very addicting IMO one of the best free games. www.gunzonline.com

There are a lot of MP demos out there that you might want to try like the unreal demo that was mentioned.

I know you said that you were looking for a free FPS, but you should look into finding a game that you really like. For example on www.newegg.com there is a copy of unreal 2004 for $9. And you can buy the half life 1 platinum edition which comes with five other games for like $15.

 

if youre looking for a funny shooting game, you should look on ebay for Postal 2: Share the pain. the game is really funny, but easy to beat.

P.S. it's only funy if you have a sick sense of humor. like me

somebody mentioned wolfenstein enemy territory. kickass game, full featured multiplayer and totally free. pretty much rocked my socks for a few years, but i got way, way too good at it. stopped being fun etc.

One first person shooter that i think is great is Rainbow Six 3 or Ghost Reacon.

Im sure you can download a demo somewhere.

They are okay, but they are more a tactical FPS, and squad-based.

Still good fun.

 

RBS3 and GR are fun untill you get nailed 30 games in a row without getting a single kill, then you hurl that crap out the window.

 

I tried that last night. Interesting game, but the controls take some getting used to. There weren't very many people playing (max of 8, averaged about 4...)
