The camera will not turn on. Replaced the battery no change. Will not transfer photo with camera on the EasyShare camera dock. Love the camera and would like to keep it but Kodak wants more to repair it than it is worth. Any ideas?

Sadly if you have changed the battery and it still will not turn on then I fear its a hardware fault and would need repairing.

As for transferring the photos are then in internal memory on on a media card, if the internal then the camera would need to be fixed to access that space, if a media card then you could use a USB media card reader to access and transfer the images to your PC. You could also use a high street photo processing shop to transfer the images from media card to a CD as most should have media readers that cover all the cards used these days

That's an older 3.1mp camera. I had one, it was my first digital. I still have it in a few ziplock baggies somewhere. About the only thing you could try is to pull the batteries for ten minutes, then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds or so, then insert the batteries. Also make certain the batteries are in right and that nothing is blocking the contact between the batteries and the contacts. I once had AA batteries shed their thin plastic skin in the battery compartment of something. One minute it worked, I changed the batteries, then it didn't.
