I was comparing my connection (700Kb/s) to a 550kpbs. Is kb/s the same as kpbs? Or is their a difference?
If there is a difference between the two can someone please tell me.

kb/s is the same as kbps, are you getting those letters right?

kbps generally refers to kilobits per second.

kb/s generally refers to kilobytes per second.

    8 bits in 1 byte.

ex: My 1.5 Megabit connection allows me to download at 175 kb/s.
