Law & Order : Trial by Jury is now being syndicated and I have the chance to start from the beginning. Is it worth it, who knows about this spin-off of L&O? I need to figure out if its worth investing time in, although it I am optimistic because it seems to be more my speed compared to the original L&O.

I love all the other L&O's, but this one didn't do much for me so I gave up on it after a couple of episodes!! I'd rather watch court tv if I want something realistic, so I found it kind of boring!!

I forget...is this the one with Bebe Neuworth, or the crappy one that was supposedly "real" trials? If it's the former, it's worth it. If it's the other one, use your time more wisely by rearranging your sock drawer or something equally important.

I think its the one with Bebe neuworth, but I am finding out there are mysterious circumstances surrounding this show. Behind the scenes problems.... Hopefully it will be back soon

I enjoyed it, was a bit disappointed when it was cancelled.

LOL, Sgt Tibbs, I can organize my sock drawer and watch tv at the same time. :D

This series was a good series to me. I watched it faithfully every week even though it was on at a horrible time (Fridays at 10 pm).

Yes, this is the one that has Bebe Neuworth, and I thought she did a terrific job. I agree with lostkiwi that I miss the show as well. I haven't heard anything that it was being syndicated, but I'm very curious about that. If it is coming back, I'm going to watch them again just to show them that I want more episodes of L&O: TBJ! :)

Give it a try and see if you like it. Just be aware that it's not a lot like the other L&O series since you'll see the behind the scenes with jury selection and all of that mess.

@Sgt. Tibbs: The "real trials" you were mentioning was a series called Crime & Punishment. I wasn't into the L&O mega-series until about 3 or 4 years ago. I didn't know anything else, but now I'm a fan of the 3 that are still on as well as TBJ. I didn't catch C&P until I was looking on tvtome.com one time and that was in the search.

I know I loved it a lot and I can't wait to see this. I didn't realize it was going to be on Court TV until I searched since I haven't seen Court TV in a while since I love the Forensic Files and all that jazz. I know I'm going to be watching all the episodes they'll show this Friday and Saturday. I'm going to show my support and hopefully Court TV will have the green light to maybe make more episodes? Could that actually happen? <crossing fingers>

I am showing my support too! I really am intrigued by this series and for sure will watch the entire season 1. I don't know if they could greenlight more seasons? I HOPE SO!

Well, tonight is the night I'll find out if TBJ is any good.
If its casualty of ratings or a big ol' bomb.....
I am hoping that its GOOD!

I'll have to get back to this thread and post my first impressions.

So what are your impressions? I did my best to watch as much as I could considering British comedies was on our PBS station on Saturday. Thankfully they repeated them later in the evening.

I'm hoping that the episodes on Friday didn't confuse you too much since the last two were 2 parter crossovers. One that was with regular Law & Order, and the other one was Law & Order Special Victims Unit (almost forgot Angela Lansbury was in that last one).

    :)

    well....I loved it!
It is bittersweet because I know its only one season, but I will be watching religiously from now on. Bebe is brilliant in this role as well...
I don't know why it didn't get ratings, it seems like it is going to get better with each episode.

It didn't get ratings because they had it on at 10:00pm on Friday. Which is why even though I loved it, I only saw it about three times.

I totally understand why it didn't last since anything on Friday nights aren't a good thing since a lot of people go out and all. I, however, didn't and watched every episode. If by some reason I wasn't home, I made sure that the episode was recorded.

I loved the show from the very start and haven't looked back since. I know Jerry Orbach was going to be in all of them (since they only showed two of them), but that didn't deter me from watching all the episodes. I'm wondering if Court TV is going to show the one episode that NBC didn't air.

This is only the third time I've loved a show that only lasted one season. The others were Alien Nation and Birds of Prey. :)

Yeah, I am seriously stunned that this show got cancelled now that I know how much it rocks. The good shows get cancelled and the ones that make you sick keep getting renewed. Definatly stinks of network television greed.... $$$$$$

anyways, I am pretty sure they are gonna show all of the episodes at least.....

Friday nights is a deathwish! Its like they started the season knowing it would bomb in that timeslot, what in the world were the people "upstairs" at the original network thinking I wonder....

Know what you mean, but hey....if they can't sell the advertisements for that show...they aren't going to pay for it themselves!!!!
