My friend came over and we both hooked up to a LAN and are both using my DSL connection to play Starcraft. My other 2 friends hooked up at their house in the same way but they have cable. My friend and I(the ones at my house) can play fine, but my other 2 friends(at another house) have MEGA lag whenever more than one oerson uses cable on their LAN. The only thing I can think of is that it's a firewall problem. Their router has a hardware side firewall that can't be turned off. Please help ASAP!!!

Keep in mind that while both connections are a shared resource, cable takes the bigger hit.

What kind of bandwidth speeds are your friends seeing at the time they try to play?

make sure that your friend isn't using a lot of resourses on there computer. Like multiple programs open and running and maybe something else using the connection.
