Labtop Will Not Start

I have an HP envy 17 se nb pc. Turned the computer off at night and then turned it on in morning.
It asked for a windows password which I had disabled because I don't want to type it in all the time.
So I typed in the previous password and the screen said it was the wrong password. The computer then shut down by itself. I turned it back on and the screen is black and the caps lock button is giving me two blinks which means the bios needs updating. Went to the Microsoft site for bios update and all there instructions
will not work. Also the hard drive light blinks for about ten seconds an then goes off. I also think that the fan is not running and the computer gets very warm. I also removed the battery and the power plug and just plugged the power plug back in. This computer seems to be dead in the water. Can anyone help Thank you: Rodwell

 

Plodr, I made a mistake when I said Microsoft, I did go to the HP sit and downloaded the correct bios update. With HP instructions, it will not work. I removed the memory and hard drive and reset them. The labtop is HP 17t-i100 leapmotion. Thank you.
