Lack of RAM?

I am working on a Dell desktop 4400, 1.6 ghz, 512 ram. it is running Win XP Sp2, Norton anti-virus, Comcast doctor. The Desktop image will not display. When the desktop Icons appear after bootup, the desktop screen goes white, or grey depending on where the cursor is. Using the Malware removal checklist on this site, I have removed; Nielson Net ratings, Pest trap, and Virtumonde.g. I have also removed CWS. msconfig, look2me, and trojan. swizzor.bx, fakealert.aw, small.ev, and small.at. Removing this maleware has not solved the problem. The computer runs really slow, windows take a long time to open, and sometimes will not open all the way (panda online scanner, for instance). I think the problem is with a lack of RAM, but would like some other opinions. I have attached a Hijack this log. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Run all of it!!!! Then post back in the malware section ....when you are squeaky clean, if there is still an issue, we can take it back up in hardware.:) :) :)

I only see a couple of known things left in your HJT log file.
What I would do to see if it's a ram issue is shut off all startup items and reboot.
It might be wise to disable some non-essential services when you restart as well.
512 MB of ram is more then enough, but doubling it would certainly help your system.

I did follow this script. I always do. But as I said, the Screen for Panda wouldn't open all the way and I could not save any report. I will do it again though see if anything has changed. Is there anything in the HJT log that I can shut off or remove?
