    Hi Guys,

I wondered if you could help please. I am having some problems with our internet. We are with BT fibre optic broadband, supposedly a 30 meg line. Usually get this or thereabouts, have had a few problems with disconnections initially but these have mostly settled down now.

We have at any one point two PC's and one mobile phone.

PC's are both pretty high spec and with windows 7. Both are connected wirelesses to the router. One with a Virgin media dongle the other with a wireless card with aerial.

Playing Guild Wars 2, both on high settings. After a while one of the PC's will lag out and often disconnect. The other PC carries on running fine though and does not get disconnected.

What could cause this? Why would both PC's not disconnect? Think this is a fault with the internet or the PC itself? Not really sure how to go about diagnosing. Some times get the reverse problem in Planetside 2, my PC will lag out and lose internet connection but partners PC will stay connected.... I am assuming it must be something to do with the wireless.

    Any help gratefully received!

This probably has more to do with the different wireless cards. Wireless is still pretty terrible for stability and gaming.

Have you tried them via ethernet?
