    Why they say Lame is better than Sondforge to make mp3?
    Or even cooledir2000 pro?

    don't think it's better it's free, it's open source therefor anyone can improve on it, the others use different .dll's thats all Lame is, a .dll, frauhofer is what the others use, i think and it's not free, frauhofer holds some kind of right on the whole mp3 making rig-a-ma-roll thats why there aren't that many programs like Lame. if you don't know about it already try CDex it uses Lame
