Sorry if I bump this old thread, but I have similar problem with him. Instead of using XP, I am using Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit and I have tried some drivers on internet but didn't successful. It would be very nice if someone could solve this problem, since I think there are a lot of people who have similar problem (if you are googling to find the driver, you only meet some "useless" sites which won't lead you to the driver,) thanks

You burnt the iso file referenced in the second to last comment? Because that iso file has the Windows 7 driver.

I mount it on a virtual drive anyway. I have installed that but still the device didn't work :(

I downloaded and looked at the windows 7 folder but none of the files look like driver files. I will do some more searching on this but cannot promise anything.

Edit: is there a yellow exclamation mark in device manager when it is attached to the computer?

Edit: Try installing the driver for Vista and see if that works. You may want to try compatibility mode also.

Don't worry if you can't find it, you have tried hard to resolve my problem :)

Yes, there's a yellow exclamation mark in device manager. I've tried the "update driver software" option and it still didn't work. And before I reinstall to Seven, I used Vista as my emergency OS and tried to install the device (with driver for Vista of course), but the same problem still happened. Great.

I don't know if I could find another USB to LAN converter in my country, and I don't want to order overseas (mainly because I don't have a lot of money to pay the device plus the taxes) and this makes me desperate. Sorry for moaning on here

Right click the device with the yellow exclamation mark and in the details tab provide the device and vendor ID. I want to make sure what they are.

In the mean time. Download this driver. Unzip the file to a folder. Right click the device in Device Manager, select update driver and browse to the inf file in the Win2000-xp-Vista folder.
