Laptop 0% Problem

    Hey everyone, I used my Acer Laptop a week ago and I got a new battery last week also, and I used it to where it was at 0% then I just got in the mail today a new AC adapter because the old one was busted. Now when I plug in my new AC Powercord, the Acer won't charge(start up).

    Help would be appreciated big time. :cry

    So you are certain it was the adapter that was bad and not your charging port?

    The laptop should start with the adapter. What happens if you remove the battery and run straight from the adapter?

    Well, both were bad.

    Take the battery out of the laptop, plug in the charger cord and press the power button.

    I did. Nothing happened. Whats the point of doing that?

    Some brands will not run unless the battery is attached. Others can be run straight off the power adapter without the battery attached. If it doesn't run either way, but did with the old adapter, there is a high probability that your new ac adapter is not working.

    But if both are new, why isn't the Acer charging?

    The point is that now you know the connection on the motherboard where the charger plugs in bad or you have a new AC adapter that is bad.
