Laptop beeps randomly after installing new hard drive

Yesterday I installed this new hard drive as a secondary on my Alienware m9750 laptop.

After initializing and formatting it seems to work fine, however, my computer now seems to beep randomly at me. Everything loads and runs fine. The first time it happened I just thought it was trying to say the cpu was overheating since I had just exited a game, however now it happened right after turning it on so that's not the problem. Like I say, I can't find any problems, but I don't like not knowing what's causing it.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know the max RAM that the m9750 supports. I was think about buying 8GB, but I don't want to spend the extra money if the most it can support is 4GB.
