Laptop Charging But Not Starting after disassembly

My Brother Bios loced laptop so i wanted to unlock it so i tried to find cmos jumper near battery in my hp pavalion g6-1118tx but when i opened it i was unable to find it so i assembled it back , but after it i was unable to start laptop it was charging but not started :cry please help me asap

 

Yeah laptops usually don't have a cmos jumper but you can remove the cmos battery "coin shaped battery" which does the same thing,disconnect all power including battery and remove for 20 seconds,replace then try to boot,I'd recommend you do this first to be sure it's done.

Regarding it not booting could you post a little more information on what exactly happens,I'll assume nothing happens at all when you press the power button in which case I would guess you've disconnected the top panel connector,that which connects the speaker,reset switch and power button so that should be your first line of enquiry.

The problem is you have disconnected something or removed something and not replaced is that we can't look at the laptop and help you find it all we can do is say double check everything.

and they helped me with dissembling and i fixed it thanks anyway for attempting

 

I didn't attempt, I diagnosed you'd disconnected the top panel connector and was right :-D The HP engineer diagnosed a power adapter connector :confused Helpful disassembly link though.

Anyway no problem and glad it's fixed and you'll still receive a Christmas card from your brother
