    I have a user running a Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 1039732 GenuineIntel Latitude D410 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz.
I recently updated the SMS client on his machine to correct an error. Shortly there after, he rebooted and tried to login, but the laptop decided to go into "power saver" mode. And now the laptop is constantly doing this. He'll boot up, login, and a few minutes later it goes into power saver mode, no matter what he is doing.

It does this while plugged into AC power, on battery power. He has two batteries that tested out as being OK. He has a docking station, and this error occured on and off of it. I have him running diagnostics right now.

Could this be a mobo issue, CMOS issue, power management error?

    Thanks for the help
