laptop cursor/mouse problem

hey guys,

just wondering if anybody can help with a latop question

i recently installed a labtec wireless mouse with use of two customisable buttons availble upon installation of a programme supplied

around rhe time i installed the programme it seems as iv lost two very small yet very handy features on my laptop cursor

the first being that on this hp pavillion dv 4000 there is a feature of uneven lines which allow me to scroll with ease . this has stopped since i started using the mouse

the second is another scrolling feature where i used to be able left+right click at the same time and then i good scroll rapidly through

has anybody ever experienced anything like this

if so any help is appreciated
