Hi. I have a HP Pavilion g6 laptop. The original fan died in it. I had it replaced with a new one, a week ago. Now, the fan is running almost continually. I have Speed Fan installed - please see attachment. Are these normal temps?

Is there a way I can adjust settings to control the temps in my system? I had this done at a computer store, but I think I seriously got ripped off. :( I really need this system to work and be okay. Is there anything else I can do to help it run cooler?

Thanks for any and all suggestions you guys can give me.

Whomever "repaired" this unit for you needs to make good on it.

If when reseating the heat sink they used not enough, or way too much thermal paste, that could cause the issue you are experiencing.

Thanks. I took it to a local repair shop and unfortunately, they wouldn't give me a guarantee on it. I am going to go back there with it tomorrow.
