I noticed my laptop making some weird noises last night and traced it back to the fan. Today I opened it up, but I can't get the whole bottom case off to get to the top of the fan. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it off??? It's a Toshiba M10-S405. All M10's and M15's should have the same or a similar case design, and some other models might too, and any help will be appreciated :)

I have a Dell, when I remove the keypad I have full access to my fan, on thier web I was able to download service manual.
Have you tryed Toshiba's web site?

Hi my name is Wayne and a new user. I hear grinding noises and they won't stop so I'm forced to shutdown. Also, if I typing something, I hear the fan stop and the entire computer seizes up and I lose everything I was working on. Does anyone know what's happening and what's causing these events? Better yet, how to fix them if possible. This started about 2 weeks ago. One other thing, at times I hear this clicking just like a clock. Sometimes it stops but it mostly doesn't and forces me to reboot again. HELP please
